On Thursday, the People's Democratic Party solemnly promised not to observe the APC government misuse the authority handed over by Nigerians. At the end of the expanded National Executive Council as well as its caucus in Abuja today, the press were addressed by the spokesman of the Party, Prince Adeyey Dayo said the Party will contend to obtain it's authority.

The Spokesman also said that those that defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) freshly will be challenged regarding their unfair attitude towards the Party. According to Prince Dayo, the Party is opening again to regain power in the 2019 Presidential election since the APC government has failed Nigerians.

While regretting the negative effect the leadership crisis was having on the party in the discharge of its responsibilities as a party in opposition, Prince Adeyeye said PDP would not be discouraged in carrying out its duties.

“it is unfortunate that a few of our members are being used to destabilize the party but we are going to stay focused.

This crisis will be resolved by us and move ahead with our vision and mission for Nigeria ” he said.
Previously the chairman of the caretaker committee, in a remark, Senator Ahmed Malaria enjoined the leaders of the party in the states not to be distracted by the direction challenge at the grass root but to stay focused on mobilizing the folks at the National level.

Senator Malaria who prayed for the quick healing of president Muhammad Buhari said using the forthcoming ruling on the court of appeal in Port-Harcourt, he was sure that the party will bounce back in full power. Today was attended by some PDP governors, members of the National Assembly, former Governors, together with former Ministers.
