MD Fainted in Court
Court thrown into panic as subsidy scam convict Managing Director of Ontario Oil and Gas Limited, Mrs. Ada Ugo-Ngali fainted in the court on friday, at the Lagos State High Court Ikeja after been convicted of N754M subsidy scam by the court.
Justice Lateef Okukun was delivering the judgement about the N1.9B subsidy charges pressed against her and three others by the Federal Government while Ugo Ngali was in the dock, she then suddenly fell and fainted when the Judge was about to pass the sentence.
The prosecuting counsel for the Economic and Financial Crime Commission headed by Mr Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) said that such offence attracts seven years jail term; further urge the Judge to impose the maximum sentense.
As she regained consciousness, the court heard her panting loudly while her lawyers called for medical personel, an ambulance rushed her to the hospital for medical treatement.
Therefore, the sentencing of Mrs Ada Ugo-Ngali has been shifted to January 18th, 2017.
