WIKE: I Will Defend Rivers State During 2019 Election
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, says that security bullying seen throughout the legislative rerun election in the state and the political won’t be observed in the 2019 elections.
The affirmation was made by the Governor on Tuesday at a meeting with traditional rulers and other community leaders from Aluu community in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria.
Governor Wike further promised the leaders of strong government presence within their community in the coming days.
He noted that the role played by Aluu community during the state amnesty programme was commendable, adding that relative peace has returned to the fad ravaged.
The Cops were also condemned by the Governor in the state because of its poor handling of crisis that was past.
He alleged the security officers recently fired by the Police Command were punished for not assassinating him. He said, the officers attached to me refuse to kill me, as planned by the security agencies.
The scheme was resisted by those and refused to enable them kill me, although “The security agencies planned to assassinate me. For this reason they’re angry and distressed.”
Wike further said that he will always fight and protect the people of Rivers State.
